Prizes have always been a fun part of IF events. Rather than give numerical rankings and tiered prizes, we like to do something different: gather interesting, useful, quirky, or funny prizes into a general pool. When the festival closes, authors will get to select a prize from the pool in random order until authors or prizes run out. Receiving a ribbon does not change selection order or your chance of getting a prize.
The prizes donated for the 2019 festival were:
- A key for Six Ages on iOS, the new game from the makers of King of Dragon Pass, donated by developer A Sharp (selected)
- The game The Warlock of Firetop Mountain by Tin Man Games, as a Steam or Humble key, donated by Jason Dyer (selected)
- The game Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth by Daedalic Entertainment, as a Steam or Humble key, donated by Jason Dyer (selected)
- 2,000 words of proofing or line editing, donated by freelance editor Alison De Almeida (selected)
- A paperback copy of Archives of the Sky, a tabletop storytelling game, donated by the festival organizer (selected)
- The game Everything by David OReilly, as a Steam or Humble key, donated by Mike Kleine
