One day I went to the beach with my family. Because I like spending time on my own, I went paddleboarding. When I came back, I saw a bottle with a letter in it.
[[Open it!->1a]]
[[Leave it!->1b]]I opened the bottle and read the letter that was actually a map. I was surprised. The map was leading me to an unknown area of the beach.
[[Follow map->2a]]
[[Throw all in the trash->2b]]I left it there and I enjoyed my day again. But a little later bottle appeared on my beach towel.
[[Open it!->2c]]
[[Leave it!->2d]]I followed the map and when I arriveed to the point, there was a human corpse waiting for me. It had a note that said "You're next :)"
[[Wait.->3a]]
[[Run!->3b]]I threw the bottle with the letter in the trash. Then, all of a sudden, I fainted.
[[I woke up...->3e]]
[[I woke up...->3f]]
I waited, waited and waited.
Then my mom called me and said that something had happened to my father. He died. I didn't know if I was going to be next.
The end.
[[Play again->Intro]]I ran quickly to my parents who were already waiting to head back home.
The end.
[[Play again->Intro]]I decided to open it. It started leaking green gas.
[[Is it a..?->3c]]
[[...or...?->3d]]I figured out my little brother had left it on my beach towel.
The end.
[[Play again->Intro]]It spread across the whole beach. Everyone that was there died instantly, including animals.
The end.
[[Play again->Intro]]
That was just an old, green and neglected deodorant.
The end.
[[Play again->Intro]]I woke up in the hospital and didn't feel good.
The end.
[[Play again->Intro]]
When I woke up, I didn't know where I was and didn't have any memory of the bottle.
The end.

[[Guild Master´s Note (Warnig-spoilers!)->Note]]
[[Play->Start]]Guild Master´s Note:
This gamebook author is a Novice. They are ready to accept constructive feed-back to learn and grow.
The game was nearly untouched by the tester, so that the entrant could receive a fully targeted feedback from Spring Thing reviewers. It is our first-timer´s privilege to plead for a well measured review even though their debut lacks some necessary polish.
//(This year the SIF Guild decided to offer "local only" public appearance to unfinished games designed by authors who already have had the honor of receiving feedback from Spring Thing reviewers and need some more time now for it to sink in. These games can reach their reader (link:"here.")[(gotoURL:"https://sif-gamebook.webnode.sk/senica-thing")])//
[[Back->Intro]]This antology of interactive games was designed as an answer to the "Clean Banks" Micro Gamebook Challenge which champions responsibility for our oceans, lakes and rivers. In this challenge the authors were asked to design a non-linear story around "an object found on the riverbank/or a sea shore".
/The games were written by students from Senica (Slovakia), from Bohinjska Bistrica (Slovenia) and by a new "grown-up" guild member from Italy as a joint entry to the Back Garden at the Spring Thing Festival of Interactive Fiction 2025./
