[STANDING]
Understand the command "stand" as something new.
Standing is an action applying to nothing.
Understand "stand" as standing.
Instead of standing:
say "You're already standing.";
stop the action.
[SITTING]
Sitting is an action applying to nothing.
Understand "sit" or "sit down" or "sit on ground" or "sit on sand" as sitting.
Instead of sitting:
say "Nah, you've been cramped in an escape pod all day. You'd rather stand."
[RUNNING]
Understand the command "run" as something new.
Running is an action applying to nothing.
Understand "run" or "retreat" as running.
Instead of running:
try running from the Q'udzlth instead.
[RUN FROM MONSTER]
Running from is an action applying to one thing.
Understand "run from [thing]" as running from.
Instead of running from the Q'udzlth:
say "You turn to run...";
